The Inspiration
I often come up with ideas from everyday life. I have been working on the Navajo Creation stories, particularly " The Creation of the Stars & Constellations" and Great Coyote and Angry Coyote caught my interest. Beyond the chaos and mayhem, they serve as a lesson to teach us not to repeat the same mistake twice.
I had wondered what if the Ma'ii (Coyote) universe existed and how much would they be like us, so I created characters the expressed us humans.
As a modern indigenous artist, I have focused primarily on painting as my medium to express and share my
Diné culture. My work has been both rewarding and fulfilling for me as an artist. However, over the past several
years, I have become increasingly interested in using modern animation techniques as a new purposeful artistic
tool. My exploration of this modern digital art form has led me to the formation of Ma’ii Productions.
What is Ma’ii Productions?
Currently, Ma’ii Productions is a small animation production company based in Kirtland, New Mexico. Its
primary mission is to create modern digital content for the preservation of the Diné language and culture. As a
secondary goal, Ma’ii Productions plans to use and help develop other indigenous artists, content creators, and
qualified contractors to reach its primary goal.
The Band Shandiin
Tell the story of the beginnings of a low-level Native country band of coyotes making a 4-year journey, starting from playing their music in the humble setting of a local Chapter House to selling out big stadiums on national tours.
This is their story, telling us the trials and tribulation involved to make it to the top. They find out along the way that it is not easy and there are many ways to get distracted, be it schemers or ex-girlfriends, greedy producers or aging competitors and naysayer, who make the journey hard.
Ma'ii Krew
The Story
The Redemption, Nicky Sticks, Vince Nali, Mic Moone and Tommi Lechee members of Ma'ii Krew. Ma'ii Krew once ruled the Reservation with its Rezabilly rock and roll original sound. On the top of their popularity, chaos and mayhem cause them to go off the reservation by jealousy and fighting with each other.
The Band broken for 15 years, now the Indigenous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wants to give Ma'ii Krew a lifetime achievement award plus a $250,000 stipend to play once more at the distinguish honors. Now it is up to Nicky Sticks to locate his former band mates who has since scattered to the four directions of the Reservation and convince the former three members of Ma'ii Krew to play one more time.
Update Ma'ii Krew is adding more dates to their Savage & Merciless 2027 reunion tour new venue are being added due to new revival of interest and success.
Misadventure of the Muttonbert Sisters
The Story
After singing at the Lucky Ma'ii Hotel & Casino during a two month residency, the Muttonbert sisters Myranda April, Tessa May and Moniqua June Muttonbert are mistaken for larceny at a local bank. With the assistance from their Mutton chop fan club president Collen Bileen, they spend all their resources proving that they are innocent.
The Muttonbert sisters learn about law and order, sisterhood and believing that the truth does prevail. With the crossover help from Ossifer Ke Yanna Bah "Kay" and Ossifer Ursala from the Indigenous Tribal Police who take on the case finding the truth.
The Lucky Ma'ii Hotel & Casino has just announced a 2027 Muttonbert all Girl Band Festival starting in the spring with line up some of your favorite all girl bands.

The Story
Four Chapter Houses have been broken into, the old mine has been unsealed and a low level executive has been assaulted.
Former High School ROTC standouts and former Marine Veterans with 2 tours of service for their country. Now, graduates of the Indigenous Police Academy twin brothers rookie Ossifer Hubert and Philfert are looking into their first case with Inspector cousin sister Ke Yah nah Bah "Kay" and forensic best friend Ossifer Ursula.
The case seem to be solve until a mysterious situation comes up and changes the outlook of the situation. An X files conclusion is to be revealed.
The Aunties, Saving the World one Frybread Sale at a Time
The Story
During the last big Monsoon thunderstorm, a large Boulder slid down to the highway blocking Route 64 passage to and from Farmingdale to the Reservation. The Aunties take action to fight the bureaucracy to have the boulder remove. They learn about their ability to organize and get people to hear their cause through speeches, meetings and $5 frybread sale.
They find out how high and long the chains of Bureaucracy are to move a boulder, literally and politically. The Aunties learn from the Elders how to get the politicians to just listen with lamb stew and frybread.
Ma"ii Biyaazh "The story of Haskie Nataani"
The Story
All your favorite Ma'ii Production character as pups, at the Teec Nos Pos Elementary School a BIC (Bureau of Indigenous Creatures} Boarding School, Young Sundance is coerce to run against the Teachers and Principal favorite student Haskie Nataani. Haskie Darby has been class president since the second grade and plan to run as a fifth grader. Sundance is hesident to run against Haskie Nataani, with help from his best friend Wilfred and Myranda April and sisters Tessa May, Moniqua June, they plan to change the political system.
